It’s August! We can’t believe it either. We don’t yet know exactly what the 20-21 ski season will bring, but we want to help you be as prepared as possible for winter. We’ve spent the summer developing and improving multiple features of our e-commerce software, so you can not only deliver the best buying experience to your guests, but also easily comply with any capacity restrictions or requirements that might be in place in your area. (Earlier this summer we shared some ideas on how to handle season pass reservations, whether or not you have the technology to power free reservations, specifically.)

We’re so excited to share with you what we’ve been working on! Here’s a quick summary:

  1. $0 reservations: Give your season pass holders (or buyers of any dateless products!) the ability to seamlessly reserve the date of their visit, in advance, on your website. You can use our reservation tool even if you do not sell your full product suite on Cloud Store.
  2. Timed ticketing: Offer tickets in distinct time slots throughout the day, across your normal ticket types. 10am, 12pm, and 1pm tubing? No problem. We’ve seen several of our summer attractions partners use this feature successfully to spread visitation and monetize time slots appropriately.
  3. Capacity restrictions: Limit capacity across products by day to make sure you don’t oversell your daily capacity. For example, if you can only sell 500 tickets across different products on a given day, we can set a maximum of 500 that is reached no matter which products are purchased.
  4. Hard caps: Avoid exceeding capacity on individual products by setting specific quantities available for sale that cannot oversell. For example, if you can only sell exactly 10 units of a particular product, we can turn on a toggle that ensures that product will not oversell beyond the units specified.

Have questions about any of these tools? We’d love to hear from you!
