Liftopia sold its first ski ticket in advance (well, to someone other than our friends) on November 18th, 2006. Since then we have helped millions of people spend more time experiencing hundreds of ski areas – introducing our sports to people who had never skied or snowboarded before, encouraging lifelong enthusiasts to get that extra day, inspiring our customers to find their new favorite ski areas.
As we head into our 11th season working in partnership with this amazing industry, we are more enthusiastic than ever about what we can accomplish together. We have learned a lot since 2006 and are excited to seek ways to help people spend more time doing these amazing activities by working with you to improve how you run your businesses.
We believe that software is only as good as the quality of service provided alongside it, and this year you will see Liftopia improve both. From massive increases in Liftopia.com’s commitment to marketing what it is to experience your ski area, to increased flexibility in what it takes to work with us, to better data flow into POS and CRM systems, to unprecedented access to our network of data, to launching our Best in Snow Awards in an effort to elevate ski areas of all sizes in front of skiers and riders everywhere – we will work even harder this year for you than we ever have before.
Over the past 18 months, we have been rebuilding our core technology that all of our 250+ Liftopia.com and 110+ Cloud Store partners use. What you’ll notice first is a brand new version of Liftopia.com – next, you should anticipate a brand new Cloud Store that brings Liftopia.com’s successes to your ecommerce tools. If you use Cloud Store for ticketing/season pass ecommerce on your own website, there is no need to schedule an upgrade – it will simply get better. Our ongoing investment in technology means we can respond to your wants, needs, and revenue opportunity faster than ever before.
To those of you who have been working with us from the beginning and those of you who are giving us a shot for the first time this year – thank you for your partnership.
